Last week was really exciting, stressful, and exhausting ... but it was all worth it! My sister had her wedding at a beautiful local museum. The venue was chosen because of it's Spanish-style architecture and location (located in a city that highly values art in all it does). I am really excited for her and her new husband, to see what they do and where they go together. It was a good ceremony, a nice dinner, and a fun reception.
The night before was the ultimate experience: we had never met any of the family, other than the soon-to-be-husband's brother. Would we like them, and would they like us? Would it be awkward or a good get-together? As in turns out, it was all positive. My sister's in-laws are a good bunch people and we all had a great barbecue. It's events like these that we really look forward to sharing with a child: the bonds of family and friends, and good food!
