"I Make No Apologies, This is Me"

We intended to write this post last night, as it had been a few busy weeks for us. But an exhausting migraine afflicted Cassie for all of last night, and with all the lights out, Chris decided to watch the Utah Jazz game instead. We hope a few of you smiled or laughed at what Chris did. In his defense, he did sit by her on the ground and held her hand until she went to sleep.

Last week, we decided to go see The Greatest Showman. We both had been dying to see it, as we love musicals and we had only heard good reviews. We used some vouchers we had and went to the Megaplex. It was our first movie we had seen with Dolby Atmos sound, and that was super cool. We thoroughly enjoyed the movie and recommend it to anyone who needs some good entertainment or a good pick-me-up even.

Chris has listened to the soundtrack pretty much everyday since, even on Sunday, when Cassie caught him and turned it off. All the songs are good, and each can have some cool application to life, but the one that stuck out to Chris the most during the movie was "This is Me." The lyrics are encouraging and can help people step out into the light and be themselves. We still hold firm to our convictions and what we believe, but we support and love everyone nonetheless.

The title of this post comes from that song, and makes us think of all that we have gone through medically and emotionally, from Cassie's stroke to our desire to be adoptive parents. Everyone has struggles and can be rejected at times, but we can find peace in following God and submitting our will to His. We are all His children!
