On the Farm, Home on the Range

Our daughter loves animals—she has countless stuffed animals and sleeps with about five. Needless to say, when we had the chance to go down to a farm owned by some family members, she was thrilled. We made a fun day of it, as it was not too far away and there were many things to do. Also, Chris' parents, brother, and nephew were there with us on this adventure. She was able to go on a tractor ride and an ATV ride through the fields, observe some chickens in their coop, and feed & pet the horses and goats. Naturally, there were also dogs—what is a farm without them?

There is something pure and homey about farm life. At the same time, there is no more hard work to be done than manual labor sun-up to sunset than tending to animals, fields, and more. We appreciate the time we were able to spend down there as a family and see our daughter have new experiences.

On our way back home, we dropped by a family favorite: Wheeler's, a ma and pa burger joint. It's good food and we love supporting this local business any time we are in the area, which has been many, many times. It's a place that Chris' family has been going to for years, and when he introduced it to Cassie's family, it became a favorite too.
