We Believe

One of the enduring phrases of our faith is "We Believe." It is the start of all the Articles of Faith (save one) that describe the basic tenets of our faith. As you may know, in April and in October, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds a semi-annual General Conference. It truly is one of the highlights of the year that we look forward to with great anticipation. A week ago, we had this very conference.

We learned and were reminded by the voice of latter-day prophets that God and His Son, Jesus Christ, love us and desire to have a relationship with us through covenant keeping, Christ-centered lives. From these proceedings, we want to increase our spiritual momentum in an ever-increasing wicked world. President Russell M. Nelson invited the world to increase spiritual momentum by:

  1. Getting on the covenant path and staying there

  2. Discovering the joy of daily repentance

  3. Learning about God and how He works

  4. Seeking and expecting miracles

  5. Eliminating conflict and contention

What a wonderful reminder of our need for focus on Christ, who can and will calm the storm in our lives.
